Frequently Asked Questions
How do Focal Studios Memberships work?
Memberships provide creators access to our studio spaces, production equipment, and support services. Each membership tier includes a set number of monthly podcast room reservations or booking accessibility, production add-ons, and exclusive member benefits.
How is billing handled?
All memberships with exception to General Admission, are billed automatically on a monthly basis using the payment method provided at checkout. The billing date corresponds to the original purchase date. Automatic payment terms are required to maintain an active membership.
Can I pause or Cancel my membership?
Gold and Silver Memberships: Pausing is not available. Cancellations are only permitted within 60 days of the renewal date after the minimum term period has passed (120 days for 6-month memberships or 305 days for 12-month memberships).
Bronze Memberships: You may pause your membership up to 2 times per year. Each pause can last up to 30 days. Cancellation is available after 30 days from purchase, with at least 7 days’ notice before renewal.
- General Admission Account: You may pause your membership infinitely. Each pause can last indefinitely. Cancellation of General Admission Account is available anytime.
What happens when my membership term ends?
Gold and Silver Memberships: Automatically end after the 6-month or 12-month term unless renewed.
Bronze Memberships: Continue on a month-to-month basis until paused or cancelled.

Who can use my membership?
Memberships are intended for the individual or business entity that purchased the plan. Shared or transferred use is not permitted unless approved in writing by Focal Studios.
Are refunds or credit available?
All membership payments, equipment rentals and room rentals are non-refundable. Unused session hours or benefits do not roll over to the next month and are subject to loss at the discretion of Focal Studios, LLC. Memberships are non-transferable.
Are there any additional service fees?
Yes — a room rental service charge and monthly membership service charge applies to all rentals and memberships (3% for Gold, 4% for Silver, Bronze and General Admission). This covers booking software, maintenance, and account management costs.
What if I miss a reserved session?
Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled time may be forfeited. Sessions must be rescheduled in advance to avoid losing studio time.
What are "Add-ons"?
Add-Ons are optional services or additional media deliverables (such as extra social reels, behind-the-scenes photography, or live editing hours) that can be purchased separately. Prices vary by membership tier.
What does “Exclusive Access” mean?
Members receive access to private sections of the Focal Studios website, member-only events, and early access to select booking times and promotions.
What are content rooms?
Content rooms are separate rooms within our facility that are pre-designed and decorated for you to record in. These rooms are available to rent separately, however equipment (cameras, lighting, audio and any filming gear) are not included.
Do I get access to the Green Room, other Content Spaces or Office Spaces?
Yes — availability depends on your tier:
Gold: Includes Green Room + 3 Content Spaces per mo. + Interior Office use.
Silver: Includes Green Room + 2 Content Spaces per mo.; Office use available at standard rates.
Bronze: + 1 Content Spaces per mo.; Green Room and Office use available as Add-Ons.
- General Admission: Content Spaces, Green Room and Office use available as Add-Ons.
How long do I get access to the green room, content spaces and office?
When Green Room, Content Spaces and Office Space is included or purchased with your booking:
- Green Room: For the duration of your podcast recording
- Content Spaces: 2 Hours per reservation
- Office Space: per Office rates
What happens if I exceed my included session hours or deliverables?
You may continue using the studio or request additional deliverables at the published Add-On rates listed on your membership page. Additional time and/or services will be billed immediately after your overage occurs.
Can I book on weekends?
Gold Members: Saturday access is included; Sunday access is available at $500/hour.
Silver Members: Saturday and Sunday access are available at $500/hour.
Bronze Members: Saturday access is $500/hour; Sunday access is not available.
- General Admission: Saturday and Sunday access is not available.
What are the studio’s access hours?
Weekdays: 8 AM – 8 PM
Saturday: 8 AM – 8 PM (Gold) or per-hour rate (Silver/Bronze)
Sunday: By special reservation or not available, depending on tier.
